The European Bars Federation (hereafter: the FBE) is a non-profit organization under French law. Its members are the national, regional or local Bars in the member States of the Council of Europe, or Bars in a country which is not a member of the Council of Europe but is admitted as an observer if it declares that it acknowledges and will observe the principles set out in the statutes of the FBE. The FBE has a participatory status within the Council of Europe; its purpose is to foster permanent links between the Bars established in member states of the Council of Europe, through its members, representing more than 1 million European lawyers.

The Paris Bar is a professional order which represents and protects the interests of the Parisian lawyers.

In line with their objectives and core values, the FBE and the Paris Bar fully commit to respect your privacy in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Processing of the website’s user personal data:
The lawful and correct treatment of personal data is very important to us for preserving the trust of those with whom we deal. On this website, the processing of personal data is carried out with cookies and the registration form.

Cookies:
A cookie is a small piece of data stored on a hard drive when a website is accessed. It records information about the user’s online navigation.

Personal Data shared when subscribing:
If you subscribe to the Congress, according to Article 6 GDPR, you give your consent to the processing of your personal data shared in the subscribing form, such as your last name, first name, email address, phone number, country, bar membership, spoken languages and your banking details. We will process your personal data respecting your privacy, in compliance with the provisions of the GDPR and the 1978 “Information technology, Data Files and civil liberties” act.

These data are collected and processed in order to process your registration to the FBE General Congress taking place the 27th and 28th of September 2021 and to its events, to optimize its management and to answer any questions you have.


Processing details:
Your personal data will be stored and available to our operational services solely for the time required for the completion of the project’s purpose of the processing.

Your data is safe with us. The FBE and the Paris Bar will never sell or rent your personal data to any third parties.

Your data may be shared with processors in charge of our IT infrastructure, of our website’s and extranet’s development and maintenance, to the extent necessary for the execution of their respective tasks. We will of course make sure that these subcontractors guarantee the security and confidentiality of your data, as provided in the GDPR.

Lastly, your data won’t be sent outside of the European Union.

Your rights:
You are in control of your data. You have the right to be informed of the type of data processing, to access to your personal data, to prevent processing in certain circumstances and to correct, rectify, block or erase information which is regarded as wrong information, and of course, you have the right to be forgotten.
